I'm taking a leap of faith

I've been offered a job as production manager on a NatGeo Documentary.

Pro's - Better money and exposure. Working with a well know producer.
He has won more Golden Panda Awards than any other filmmaker. He won 2 Emmy Awards and the Queen's Award for Export Achievement.

Con's - Daily rate i.e. No work no pay. No bonus. No Leave. Only a 3 month contract.
I'm leaving a "safe" permanent job and I cannot afford to be unemployed so it's a big risk.

I'm taking a leap of faith and accepting his offer.
When you walk in faith success is inevitable.

I FOUND MY NICHE

As you should know by now I have been looking for a niche. Well, after listening to Brian's latest training I was inspired. I thought about it for about two seconds and finally saw the light. It should be something I'm passionate about and something I know a lot about... The obvious choice -- drum roll please -- VIDEO

Here's my pitch -

Online video has become the fastest growing category of Internet ad spending in the past year, according to research firm eMarketer.

With videos being the hottest way to advertise your products, having well made videos are a must to add to your websites and blogs.

Sub Niches will include
The Video Tech Savvy - Which equipment, software and formats to use. Where to post your videos for maximum effect and market dominance.

Script Writing - (Not to be confused with web script this is movie script) Creativity is a must! Making 30, 45 or 60 second commercials to get people's attention.

Creating your own video training products - Using the same techniques that has worked for Brian you will learn how to create your own training products for online training. Sub niche of this will be packaging your products professionally. Looking at DVD's / Cover Design / Branding.

I created 4 FaceBook groups on Sunday in in 3 days they all grew to over 100 members.

The Break In :)

Well, I was sick this week. Didn't go to work from Monday to Wednesday. Thursday I was back in the office and my husband called me at 13h00 to say that we've been burgled.

Here's what happened:
10am the police saw 2 guys walking down the road carrying 2 big and suitcases and a computer screen. They stopped and asked the guys where they got the stuff. The guys told them that their boss gave it to them because it's broken. The policeman told him that it seems suspicious and they want to either A. meet the boss or B. take them back to the station to test the equipment. They chose option B.

The policeman plugged the computer and screen in and it all worked fine. They called the internet service provider (IBurst) and they gave them my husband's contact number.

The policeman then called Henk and told him we were burgled.
We had to go identify our stuff and got it all back. The only thing we lost is my daughter's cellphone.

For those of you outside of South Africa this is a MIRACLE!! and here is what they did wrong:
My son Matthew is an absolute believer. He wanted a PlayStation II. He prayed for 3 months and one day one a young guy at work asked me if Matthew has a PlayStation because he bought himself a XBox and he no longer uses his. He gave Matthew his PlayStation II and 7 games. It was my son's first miracle and he believes that PlayStation is from God.

Back to the burglars, These guys made the mistake of stealing that PlayStation... You don't steal something that was given by God!

I had the most amazing weekend. Friday night my husband fetched me from work and we met 2 men at the gate who drove 6 hours to attend a conference at DCC. They asked us if we knew of a B&B in the area. We took them to the closest one and as we drove off my husband felt in his spirit that we should have invited them to stay at our home. We drove back and they were still sitting outside the B&B they didn't have enough money and were considering sleeping in the car. Daniel is a missionary from America and Donald is one of 4 pastors that consult for the government and he recently lost his wife and daughter in a car accident. We were blessed to have them in our home. Daniel travels all over the world doing God's work and God sent him to us to bless our family. I had tremendous breakthroughs in my spiritual walk the last few days and cannot wait to see what God has in store for me...

Brian shares his secret...

Brian released his video's and for a full 3 1/2 hours I sat glued to my PC screen. The stuff he shared is great. It's a step by step easy to follow guide of how to make money using FaceBook. It' s so simple that even I can do it. To show my gratitude I wanted to send him a video testimonial... there is only one problem tho... I'm extremely camera shy.
I turned the camera on and stood still for about 4 minutes building up the courage to talk. After 9 attempts I finally managed to record something without bursting out laughing or swearing or pulling a funny face. What I've learned about myself is that I roll my eyes when I talk. Bad habit!!
I've posted the video at the end of this blog, I have to warn you I say um, ah and phenomenal a lot so don't laugh.
My assignment is to set up a web page, a auto responder and ... something else which I forgot about? I'll have to watch the video's again and this time I'll make notes.
